TV giant Sky groups its channels into viewing “packs”, so you can pick and choose which channels you’d like to receive without paying extra for those you don’t want to watch. Find out more about Sky packs below…

Sky (www.sky.com) offers monthly subscription packages with a great range of channels, interactive options and the ability to upgrade or use a Sky+ set-top box to record programmes digitally.

Choosing a Sky viewing “pack”

With Sky, you can build TV channel package to suit your viewing needs. The channels are split into six “packs” to allow you to choose the channels that are most suitable.

For instance, if you choose the Kid’s pack, you’ll receive all the children’s channels including Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Discovery Kids. Take a look at what’s included in each pack below:

• Variety pack - Includes Sky 1, Paramount Comedy, UKTV Gold
• Knowledge pack - Includes Discovery, National Geographic, The History Channel
• Music pack - Includes MTV, VH1, Kerrang
• Kid’s pack - Includes Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Discovery Kids
• Style & Culture pack - Includes Sky Travel, UKTV Bright Ideas, Artsworld
• News & Events pack Includes Sky News, Bloomberg, British Eurosport.

You can also add the premium movies and/or sports packs to any package for an extra fee. With these services you can view:

• Top movies long before they appear on BBC, ITV or Channel 4
• Live Premier League football coverage, England Test Cricket.
