Sky HD Box review

Sky (www.sky.co.uk) is the UK’s largest satellite TV provider and a frontrunner when it comes to high-definition programming. It offers the largest selection of HD channels, including both ITV1 HD and BBC HD, alongside other premium HD sports channels and a large range of film and documentary high-definition channels.

The HD set-top box is free when you join online at www.sky.co.uk, and has all the same features of the Sky+ box:

• Pause and rewind up to 185 hours of standard definition live TV
• Record 2 shows at the same time, or watch one while recording another
• Record series automatically at the touch of a button with the "Series link" feature

HD channels on Sky

Channels on Sky are grouped by genre, and separated into viewing packs. Prices start from £18 for one viewing “pack”, and each additional pack costs £1 extra. If you want to be able to watch Sky HD channels though, you must also get the HD pack, which costs an extra £10 a month.
