Virgin Media cutting V+ charge?

Virgin Media has confirmed that it will change its subscription price for the V+ service, after Sky announced plans to scrap the subscription cost for its Sky+ package.

Sky recently revealed that the former £10 monthly charge for some customers’ Sky+ subscriptions would be scrapped in July, making the additional service free to all satellite TV subscribers. It was previously free only to those who took up the Sports and/or Movies packages.

Following this, Virgin Media’s chief operating officer, Neil Burkett, has said that a V+ pricing change is imminent. He did not say whether the tariff would be lost altogether, and there is no official information on when this change will come into effect.

The service currently costs an extra £15 per month for most subscribers, or an extra £10 a month for those on the XL digital TV package.

Much like Sky+, the V+ service lets Virgin Media customers pause and rewind live TV, and record two programmes while watching a third. The technology also allows you to set up a whole series to automatically record.

Virgin Media is currently in talks with several channels regarding replacing the Sky channels the service lost earlier this year.

You talk about Sky not charging its customers the extra £10 a month for HD if they have movies or sky sport.
I have all and yet pay the £10 a month in addition, and have been doing for a long time.
Please either correct this error, since Sky tell me I must keep paying.
