Virgin Media offers more on-demand entertainment

Want to keep the entire family entertained this month? Virgin Media’s cable TV customers can watch a variety of programmes and films on-demand during May, including the UK premiere of US sitcom Hank and vampire drama True Blood.

Virgin Media (www.virginmedia.com), the UK’s largest cable TV provider, is offering customers a range of top quality programmes on its On Demand TV service during May, with many being shown in high-definition (HD).

There’s something for all the family, such as the UK premiere of new hit US sitcom Hank (pictured below). Starring Kelsey Grammer, who is best known for his role in Frasier, the show follows the life of Grammer’s family as they are forced to move back to rural Virginia after Grammer loses his job.

Other on-demand highlights over May include Sherlock Holmes on FilmFlex, which will be available from Monday 17 May - the same day it is released on DVD.

Aleks Habdank, director of on-demand television and strategy at Virgin Media, said: “This month’s line-up on Virgin Media TV On Demand, brings together the fresh and famous, with brand new movies such as Sherlock Holmes as well as hit dramas such as True Blood.”

Habdank added: “With more and more customers enjoying the benefits of TV on-demand, this month also sees a broader range of music content; and classic Britcom Yes Minister should provide topical light relief during the election period.”

Other films appearing on Virgin Media’s On Demand service this month include the latest instalment of The Twilight Saga: New Moon starring Robert Pattinson, and the dark comedy In Bruges with Colin Farrell and Ralph Fiennes, both available in standard and high-definition.
