Homes with a subscription to cable giant Virgin Media’s Size XL package can now watch the Military History Channel.
Virgin Media (www.virginmedia.com) Size XL customers can watch documentaries of some the world’s greatest historic battles and modern day warfare, on the new Military History Channel - which launched on Thursday last week.
Located on channel 236 on Virgin Media’s menu, the Military History Channel, is available to all customers with the largest Virgin TV package.
Tom Davidson, managing director of producing network AETN UK, said, “Military History is the natural home for all of our classic and current conflict programming, which strikes such a strong cord with the UK audience.”
Programmes featured on the channel include the Clash of Warriors series, which documents battles between powerful adversaries from different wars, and the Heroes Under Fire series, which brings viewers closer to real life soldiers who venture behind enemy lines to rescue hostages and gather intelligence.
Katharine Burns, executive director of content acquisition at Virgin Media, added: “We are delighted to add Military History to our line up of compelling documentary channels, spanning the natural world, science, engineering, history and real life.”
