Keep track of who’s going where with Sky Sports News as the transfer window closes this Tuesday.
Get ready for 24 hours of hype, speculation and panic buying - the January transfer window closes this Tuesday at 11pm.
Sky Sports News, which has become synonymous with transfer deadline day - its reporters searching for exclusives in windswept training ground car parks around the country - will provide round-the-clock coverage.
While the window is proving particularly pedestrian so far this year, football fans will be hoping this January’s deadline day proves as frantic as the last one, when Chelsea and Liverpool spent a total of £85million on strikers Fernando Torres and Andy Carroll respectively.
The biggest signings so far in this window have been Newcastle United’s surprise £7.5million swoop for Senegalese international striker Papiss Demba Cisse and Chelsea shelling out £7million for Bolton Wanderers’ England defender Gary Cahill.
The latest rumours see Liverpool linked with Italian club Napoli’s highly-rated Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani and Chelsea and another Italian club, Inter Milan, apparently fighting it out for the signature of Manchester United youngster Paul Pogba.
Despite UEFA’s financial fair play rules due to be introduced the season after next, many will be waiting to see whether the Abu Dhabi royal family-owned Manchester City splash the cash on deadline day as they did in the summer transfer window, when they spent around £76million.
A few hours before the transfer window closes, Martin O’Neill’s resurgent Sunderland side take on Paul Lambert’s newly-promoted Norwich City in the Premier League at the Stadium of Light on Sky Sports 2.
