Retailer’s “value for money” Logik 3D TVs hit shelves before Christmas.
The UK’s largest electrical retailer is entering the 3D TV market.
Dixons will launch its own range of Logik 3D TVs next week, providing the latest home cinema must-have at an affordable price, in plenty of time for Christmas.
Starting at £349 for a 32in LCD 3D TV, around £100 less than the cheapest comparable models - and rising to £799 for a top-of-the-range 47in LED model - the latest products from Dixons’ own brand, Logik, are bound to be a last-minute addition to Christmas lists across the country.
Alison van Veggel, senior marketing manager at Dixons Retail, said the Logik 3D TV offers “outstanding” value for money.
“With the launch of these new Logik TVs, we are selling the cheapest range of 3DTVs on the market - making 3DTVs widely available for the first time. With our own brand products, we aim to provide customers with quality electricals that are as good as any branded proposition.”
As a result, Dixons expects the range to “fly off the shelves” as film buffs and telly fans rush to get their hands on the ultimate piece of home entertainment technology.
The Logik TVs provide an experience similar to viewing a 3D film at the cinema. Each comes with 10 pairs of 3D glasses - enough to entertain the whole family at Christmas. The screens have a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080p, while two 8-Watt speakers pump out punchy, high-quality sound.
In addition, the Logik 3D TVs can be connected to a variety of media inputs, with double HDMI ports, a single SCART, USB and VGA ports. This means virtually anything can be played, from films to computer displays and music.
While the entire range is available from the Dixons website, two 42in models will also be on sale in-store at Currys and PC World. These are priced at £549 for an LCD TV and £599 for the LED version.
