Sky customers can now enjoy Living HD - the latest addition to the digital TV provider’s array of high-definition channels.
Living HD airs popular shows including Britain's Next Top Model, presented by Elle Macpherson, CSI: Miami, Grey's Anatomy, Criminal Minds and Supernatural - “all in glossy, pin-sharp HD”.
Also launching on Living HD in October are brand-new US drama Nikita, and Four Weddings spin-off Party Wars.
The channel is the 50th high-definition (HD) offering to be announced by satellite TV giant Sky (www.sky.co.uk) - but only the 46th to go live.
Channels including Eden HD, ITV 2 HD, ITV 3 HD and ITV 4 HD will all go live before Christmas, bringing its total to 50.
More than three million Sky customers now subscribe to its HD pack, allowing them to watch the biggest range of HD channels in the UK, said Sky.
Sophie Turner Laing, Sky's managing director of entertainment, news and broadcast operations, said: “Sky recognised the potential of HD early and we are delighted it has grown into something which our customers utterly love and now demand as standard.
“Adding Living HD to our great range of high-quality HD channels only adds to the choice that more than three million homes enjoy. With so much brilliant content coupled with ground breaking innovation, it's no wonder that we've seen such strong growth in HD.”
Sky+ HD boxes are also 3D-ready, added Sky, allowing Sky World customers to watch Sky 3D - Europe’s first dedicated 3D channel - when it goes live on 1 October.
