Sky TV on your Xbox 360

Sky remains available on Xbox, but following the introduction of Sky Go in June 2011, which brings together Sky Mobile TV and Sky Player , the Xbox service will be known as Sky rather than Sky Player.

As an Xbox owner you can watch Sky (www.sky.co.uk) on your games console. Whether you're already a Sky TV customer or not, you can sign up to watch all your favourite shows through your Xbox 360.

What do I need to watch Sky through my Xbox?

In order to watch Sky TV on your Xbox you need to be an Xbox LIVE Gold customer and have your console hooked up to at least a 2Mb broadband connection.

What do I get from Sky on my Xbox?

If you're already a Sky TV customer, you’ll be able to access 32 live channels, such as Sky Movies and Sky Sports, depending on what you subscribe to, and thousands of hours of TV on-demand.

If you're not already a Sky customer, then you can buy a Sky Go Monthly Ticket. These allow non-Sky TV customers to watch a range of channels on their Xbox 360 for £15-£49 a month. Up to two devices can be registered with Sky Go - so you can view Sky TV on a PC, laptop, iPad, iPhone or iPod touch as well as an Xbox 360.

Xbox interactive features with Sky

Customers with the Xbox LIVE Gold service will also be able to enjoy a range of interactive features, such as being able to communicate with friends and family via avatars while watching live TV using the Party feature.

Those with a Kinect motion sensor for their Xbox 360 will also be able to use it to control what Sky TV they watch through their console using hand or voice commands.
