Lucky enough to recieve a 3D TV for Christmas? Put it to good use with Virgin Media’s on-demand 3D TV service, which now offers mind-blowing 3D films, documentaries and animated shows.
Virgin Media (www.virginmedia.com), the UK’s largest cable TV provider, has given its 3D TV offering a boost for the New Year, adding documentaries and animated programmes to the already available on-demand 3D films.
3D films and programmes to be shown on the service over the coming months include:
3D documentaries (available to XL TV customers only)
3D animations (available to all Virgin Media TV customers)
3D Movies on Demand (pay-per-view)
A spokesman for Virgin Media said: “This exciting new line-up of content will enable Virgin Media TV customers to experience a close-up of the sun, explore the lost world of the dinosaurs, uncover the secret world of bats and rediscover the pharaohs of ancient Egypt, all in breathtaking 3D.”
Virgin Media’s 3D content is available to all homes with a subscription to one of the firm’s TV packages and a V+HD or V HD set-top box, as well as a 3D ready TV. 3D movies cost from £4.75 to rent for 24 hours.
Jon Ingram, operations director at Digitalchoices.co.uk, said: “Virgin Media’s on-demand 3D service is perfect for anyone that’s just got a new 3D ready TV in the January sales or was lucky enough to get one as a Christmas present.”
