Nature-loving Virgin Media customers can now watch National Geographic wildlife programmes and documentaries for free.
Virgin Media (www.virginmedia.com), Britain’s largest cable TV provider, is offering all its customers the Nat Geo Wild channel for free until 2 December.
As of yesterday, customers on all three of Virgin Media’s TV packages can access the nature and wildlife programmes on channel 228.
A Virgin Media spokeswoman said: “All our digital TV customers will be able to watch Nat Geo Wild at no extra cost, as the channel becomes free to air on the platform for a month-long promotion.”
Nat Geo Wild is normally only available to Virgin Media’s size: XL subscribers, but will be available to size: M and L customers for the rest of the month.
The channel broadcasts shows such as The Dog Whisperer and Long Way Down.
Highlights on Nat Geo Wild this month also include animal rescue documentary Rescue Ink, which tracks a group of tough New Yorkers who stop at nothing to save animals from desperate situations; and Bite Me!, which follows naturalist Dr. Mike Leahy’s mission to find the world’s biggest bugs.
