Cable telecommunications giant Virgin Media has confirmed that LIVING will be joining its high-definition (HD) line-up next month.
LIVING HD, which airs Ghost Whisperer, Private Practice and Boston Legal, will be available to Virgin Media (www.virginmedia.co.uk) customers from 6 October
Customers on Virgin Media’s XL TV package will be able to view the new channel, which has joined other high-definition channels ESPN and Channel 4, for no extra cost.
Mark Schweitzer, chief commercial officer at Virgin Media, said “Our customers watch LIVING more than any other digital TV channel. LIVING offers some of the glossiest shows around and its HD launch will showcase our line-up at its most vivid and colourful.”
Earlier this month, Virgin Media agreed a new “three-screen” deal with Disney, allowing it to broadcast content on-demand via its cable TV service, online and on mobile phones.
Jon Ingram, operations director at Digitalchoices.co.uk, said: “As HD penetration continues to grow, it’s great to see Virgin Media expanding its line-up and adding more high-definition channels for customers.”
