Digital TV giant Sky is increasing its TV pack prices on 1 September 2009.
All of Sky’s (www.sky.com) nine million customers will see package prices increase as of 1 September 2009.
The digital TV provider divides its channels into “packs” depending on the genre of programme. Customers can choose from variety, knowledge, style and culture, news and events, children’s and music. The price of these packs will rise by a £1:
Sky World, which includes all six packs, all the Sky movie channels and all the Sky sports channels is also going up in price from £46 a month to £47.50.
A spokesperson for Sky said: “Sky is still great value to entertain the whole family, with prices reduced, frozen or up by less than 5p a day.”
The satellite TV giant also offers broadband and home phone services, and recently announced an increase in customer take-up, with 16% of Sky households now bundling all three services with the company.
Join Sky before the 27 August 2009 and receive a £25 Tesco gift voucher.
