Sky 1, Sky Living, Sky Atlantic, and Sky Arts 1 available through on-demand service.
Sky has expanded the range of channels available through Sky Go, its mobile on-demand service, to include four more entertainment options.
The satellite provider also plans to roll more channels out over the coming weeks
The roll-out follows yesterday’s news that Sky Go is now available on selected Android phones, including the HTC Desire series, HTC Sensation and HTC Incredible, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy S2 handsets.
The channels added to Sky Go are:
- Sky 1 - Home to some of Sky’s most popular shows, including The Simpsons, An Idiot Abroad, House and Got To Dance. Notable shows coming to the channel include Keifer Sutherland’s new drama series Touch and Don’t Stop Me Now, a new entertainment series hosted by Amanda Byram.
- Sky Atlantic - Primarily features acclaimed US shows, including fantasy epic Game of Thrones , mob drama Boardwalk Empire and comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm.
- Sky Living - Shows drama series, such as The Ghost Whisperer, Bones and Grey’s Anatomy, and shows about fashion and celebrities, including America’s Next Top Model. One notable addition that’s coming soon to the channel is The Love Machine - a brand new dating show.
- Sky Arts 1 - Focuses on arts and culture, including music, books, film, theatre and documentaries. Upcoming highlights include BeTipul - a Tel-Aviv based, Hebrew-language show that served as the inspiration for the acclaimed US drama series In Treatment.
The satellite provider also plans to roll more channels out over the coming weeks. Sky Sports F1, a new sports channel devoted to - you guessed it - Formula One, will launch before the Australian Grand Prix, which starts on 16 March.
Sky Go is available on Apple devices, including the iPad and iPhone, and certain Android phones. The service covers all five Sky Sports channels, ESPN, 11 Sky Movies channels, Sky News and the above entertainment channels. Sky Go users can only access the channels they subscribe to as part of their Sky TV package.
