Sign up to digital TV giant Sky online before 30 September 2009 and get a free £50 Tesco gift voucher.
Sky (www.sky.co.uk) is attracting new customers ahead of the digital switchover by giving all households that sign up to one of its packages a free £50 Tesco gift card.
To be eligible for the £50 voucher, new customers will need to sign up online for Sky’s satellite TV service and either the Sky Movies, Sky Sports or Sky+ HD packages before 30 September.
The TV giant increased prices of its entertainment packs on 1 September. They now start from £17.50 a month for one pack. The Sky+ HD set top box costs £49, and the Sky+ HD service costs an extra £10 a month Sky phone line rental also went up by £1 in September, and is now £11 a month.
This offer is only available if you sign up to Sky TV online, and the Tesco gift card will be sent out within 30 days of the Sky account being activated.
Details about the offer have come after Sky confirmed that it will launch 3D TV in 2010.
Jon Ingram, operations manager at Digitalchoices.co.uk, said: “As with all incentives, you should weigh up what you need from your TV service, before taking the bait.
“If you were planning to get Sky and one of its premium services such as Sky Sports, then this is a good offer. But the value of any incentive will be wiped out if you find yourself saddled with a service you don’t really need.”
