Consumer information on the digital TV switch over

The UK’s analogue TV signal has been up and running since the 1930s and currently runs alongside digital signals. The ‘digital switchover’ will involve switching off the analogue signal, allowing digital services to be broadcast at full power. It will be carried out region by region, starting in 2008. Households in each region will receive two years’ notice before it takes place, with every household in the UK receiving digital TV by 2012. For more information click here.
